i want to become a makeup artist and hair stylist, and i know its 4 years till college for me but i want to know requirements and start praticing so i can get in and be the best i can. so what is the best school, preferably in southern california!!
It does not matter a bit what school you go to it's all about you own personal skill and your clientele.
Well I attend cosmetology school and Ive been there a while and I still feel lost. I mean all the clients we have are old so the only experience im getting is uniform haircuts and perms. I need help with cutting a flat top.. what do u do next after you buzzed the sides? what do u do with the longer hair on the sides to make it stick up? I dont even know how to cut a diagonal forward bob! Im so depressed help!
buzzing hair with a # 4 on sides (just example) then a number thats higher on top then you blend the sides where the line meets ( the line where the two numers are touching) you can do that with the # 4 holding it just slightly above the head and eyeball it. sizors take to long. if the hair is realy long on top you can hold it inbetween your fingers and use them asa guide. you need to practice or better yet go to another town and watch a barber do his clients! youll see how they do it( make beleive your looking for a style in a book).

You might want to check the definition of eschatology. Such courses are generally not taught in cosmetology schools.
Ok, i know that you can get government grants to pay for school and even living expenses…..but where does one even begin to look and/or apply for such grants? I want to go to cosmetology school but i can't quit my job because we just had a baby and my husband doesn't make enough money for me to go to school full time and not have any income. Any ideas on where to start? online applications for grants, or where to look? I live in Missouri, but would probably go to school in Kansas. All help is appreciated!
Go to www.fafsa.ed.gov and apply. It will be based off your 07 tax return if filed. Then get incontact with your school’s financial aid office to see if they need any additional information from you. They will then process your application to see if you are elegible for any grants they offer plus the Pell grant.

I work 3rd shift in a Call Center booking vacations, and directions, do online school, i'm going to college pt to finish my cosmetology, i have 3 kids, married and a home. My children are 7, 6, and 4. When should i have time for me, I'm only 25, and sometimes feel overwhelmed with responsibilites. I don't want my family to think i getting away from them, i just need a break to sometimes.
Ha…… thats really something great abt u! U got three kids now, and u r working !! actually its difficult for a working women to look after her childrens when she is in Job.
remember u need not give up ur job for ur children, i think u may be working all the way for ur wards future..
try to nurture them always when u are with em! show ur love and affection as far as u can.. always have a hug with them keep them in ur laps when ur with them..
call to them atleast once when ur at work.. pass ur time beautifully with em, in the weak ends..
take vacations when ever it is necessary.. make ur kids understand ur situations…
thats it.. they will never feel as u taught!
