clientele building will basically depend on how many people you know and start by doing their hair, they will recommemd you to their friends/family and it snowballs from there………. if you advertise that help to…….

Is it true that I can get a temporary cosmetology license if i have graduated cosmetology school?

Posted by: admin  :  Category: best cosmetology school

I just graduated cosmetology school in SC, but I am getting ready to move to GA and would rather wait to take the board in GA, but I heard that I can get a 6 month temporary license and be able to work on hair in a salon immediately while waiting to take my board, which would help tremendously. If this is true, do I just need to get paperwork from my school, or just show my diploma to the salon?

is loving to do hair enough to become a cosmetologist?

Posted by: admin  :  Category: cosmetologist schools

one of my friends who's graduated does hair and i love to watch and try to do prom up-do's and stuff on all my friends just for fun. but i'm horrible at math. so is there math with the dye and stuff. i'm sure it's not the 'easy way out' i know. i'm thinking about looking in to it. i'm in highschool. i'm going into my senior year and i was going to do a vocational class but my school didn't have it. =[

No, it's not the easy way out. Being a hairdresser is a lot of work. Yes you do need some math. But not a lot, and not the complicated stuff. You need to go to a good beauty school and pass your test, then find a salon that has ongoing training, because your school will basically teach you how to pass the test and teach you just basics. Also, styles change from year to year, so you need ongoing training to learn new styles as they come out. If you're not a very motivated person work for someone else and forget about ever being your own boss. If you're highly motivated (and good) you can do booth rental and set your own hours/prices.

What's new with State Board in California ?

Can anyone please help me ?
I graduated from Cosmetology school in 2003 , but i was unable to pre-apply with State Board because i didn't have a 10 th grade or high school diploma.
Well i finally got my GED, and now i can pre-apply with State Board . So i just wanted to know if anyone can help me out and tell me what's new , i know that there's no new procedures, everything is still the same, except no more plain facials just the red, white, and blue dermal lights and a scrub.
Is there anything else i should know.
I have to take a class at a company that charges $250 dollars for 5 hours and it's 1-1 .
Please help me !!!!!

Either go to your Cosmetology school and ask the registrar office or check the State Board's contact info and send them an email with your questions.
